Hi to all of you -
Welcome to the Helping Mind Blog - a place where we invite all of you to share – in a friendly manner – thoughts on socially conscious organizations (for profit and non for profit) and any other cool information where we see how organizations or individuals are ” truly giving back” and helping and empowering those in need ! The forum is open and we intend to publish content every once in a while (as time allows us).
Although I will try to find examples of companies and individuals that within a “for profit” environment (be it corporate or small business) who are trying to help others and give back, we welcome your words on how your favorite non-profit organizations are making a difference.
I will also try my best to publish information about my own experience in driving this life project that is Helping Mind and sharing any resources that may be helpful to others starting their own business.
As founder and Chief Philanthropic Officer (CPO) of Helping Mind my call came to me in 2008 after being laid-off and it was exactly then that I decided to bring to life my ideal business. Helping Mind is born from the idea of creating a company that will have as a core value a true philanthropic mission – one that calls to always contribute a good part of its profit to worthy non-profit projects that empower and help people in need locally and throughout the world!
Even though many of us suffered on this economic turn-down many of us can agree we are fortunate to have received an education and not having faced the life threatening adversities that many are facing in the world today; therefore a reason to work and give back to those that need our help.
Helping Mind is committed to giving back and bringing great inspirational and delightful products to market – and we truly hope that in time we will be remembered as a “giving” company and our efforts will empower many other companies and individuals to truly give back as part of their corporate governance.
